An Initiative to Leverage Technology for the Community

On November 21, 2025, we donated 200kg (100 bags of 2kg each) of what we call “TOPCON Farm Rice” grown through IT agriculture to families in need of food support through the Itabashi Council of Social Welfare.
Itabashi Ward provides comprehensive support for children, including being the first of Tokyo’s 23 wards to operate a permanent “Community Food Pantry” to support families with children who cannot afford adequate meals due to financial constraints. The ward also works to create safe environments for children and bridge experience gaps through learning support and experiential events.
The rice donated this time was harvested at our IT agriculture verification field in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture. Our company is advancing technology verification, including GNSS-based automatic steering systems, aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of rice cultivation.
At the presentation ceremony, we received a certificate of appreciation from Mr. Yoshiyuki Kubota, Secretary General of the Itabashi Council of Social Welfare, who remarked that “technology has become the foundation supporting regional welfare.” The donated rice will be distributed to families in need within the ward through the “Community Food Pantry” and other channels.
Our company will continue to support the future of food through IT agriculture while contributing to regional welfare.

The rice donated this time was harvested through IT agriculture demonstration experiments conducted by our company in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture. We are advancing verification using cutting-edge technologies such as GPS automatic steering systems in collaboration with farmers in Chiba Prefecture, aiming to promote IT agriculture in rice cultivation.
Mr. Toshiyuki Suzuki, Chief of the Smart Infrastructure Business Planning Department, who spoke at the presentation ceremony, stated: “We sincerely thank you for arranging such a distinguished ceremony today. We are proceeding with verification of agricultural-related products with the cooperation of farmers in Chiba Prefecture. We hope this rice will be useful in community activities and wherever it is needed,” expressing his commitment to regional contribution.
