Conserving the environment by reducing the amount of pesticides and fertilizers
In collaboration with a university in New Zealand, we measured crop growth through laser growth sensors and used the data to adjust the amount of fertilizer applied. The results demonstrated that the amount of fertilizer could be reduced by up to 30% while maintaining a constant yield.
Spraying of excessive fertilizers and inappropriate pesticides would lead to environmental degradation of rivers and groundwater. Using laser growth sensors will contribute to a stable supply of food, eliminate hunger, and reduce the environmental impact of pesticides.
