Topcon Holiday Lights: Connecting with the Community(Japan)

January 14, 2025

Supporting Independence for People with Disabilities and Building a Sustainable Society

The “Topcon Holiday Lights 2024,” held from Friday, December 6, 2024, to Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Topcon headquarters in Itabashi, Tokyo, welcomed a total of 3,004 visitors.

Since 2006, this event has been hosted annually not only to entertain neighborhood residents but also to share the Topcon group’s business activities and social contribution initiatives. Now in its 18th year, this year’s display featured a stunning arrangement in three symbolic colors—purple, green, and yellow—representing healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure (Medical, Food, and Construction).

During the lighting period, 2,170 snacks made at welfare facilities supporting the independence of people with disabilities were distributed to children. Additionally, as a new initiative, “Upcycled rulers,” crafted from defective or leftover materials from our manufacturing processes, were given as gifts. This initiative was designed to bring joy to the nearby community while showcasing the Topcon group’s commitment to building a sustainable society.

“Upcycling” is gaining recognition as part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to promote a sustainable society.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who anticipated our seasonal event and took the time to attend. The Topcon Group will continue to foster community connections while pursuing the SDGs and working toward a sustainable future.
