August 7, 2025

Topcon Corporation (Head Office: Itabashi-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takashi Eto) has established the Topcon Malaysia Training Center (TMTC) in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, to promote productivity improvement in the construction industry across Southeast Asia through the use of DX (Digital Transformation) solutions.

Topcon Malaysia Training Center (TMTC)
Outdoor Demonstration Area / Indoor Training Facility

This facility marks Topcon’s first training center in Southeast Asia and the fourth globally, following Japan, the United States, and Italy. Situated on a vast site of approximately 8,500 square meters, the center features a practical training area that replicates actual construction sites, along with a classroom space that can accommodate up to 30 participants simultaneously. By utilizing the latest surveying instruments and construction machinery, the center offers a hands-on learning environment where participants can experience and master the entire construction process through ICT-based methods. In Southeast Asia, including Malaysia where infrastructure demand continues to grow alongside economic development, this center aims to cultivate locally grounded talent through targeted education and training programs. Through this initiative, we will contribute to enhancing technical capabilities in the construction industry and advancing urban infrastructure development.

Offering practical training in construction and surveying workflows, the center serves not only engineers in the construction and surveying industries, but also a wide range of participants including public sector employees and students. It provides advanced training that integrates both theory and hands-on practice, utilizing the latest equipment such as total stations, GNSS receivers, laser scanners, and machine control systems, along with related software tools used for creating 3D design data.

Through this initiative, Topcon aims to further strengthen collaboration with government agencies, private companies, and higher education institutions in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia. By positioning the training center as a core hub for human resource development and infrastructure advancement, the company seeks to address challenges in the construction industry, improve productivity, and contribute to the development of local communities.
