Ultra-widefield Retinal Slit Scanner to Be Launched in Europe
Topcon Corporation (Head Office: Itabashi-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takashi Eto) is pleased to announce that its Ultra-widefield Retinal Slit Scanner has received CE marking under the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR, EU 2017/745). As a result, the Company will begin marketing the product in Europe.

With the launch of this product, Topcon will expand its retinal imaging product lineup in Europe, further strengthening its solutions for the eye care professionals.
The product will be showcased at ESCRS 2026 (the 44th Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons), taking place in London, United Kingdom, from September 11, 2026, and at EURETINA 2026 (the 26th Congress of the European Society of Retina Specialists), taking place in Vienna, Austria, from October 1, 2026.
Note: This product is intended exclusively for the European market. As it has not been approved under Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act (PMD Act), it is not available for sale in Japan.
