TOPCON surveying instruments have been designated by the government for Chinese scientific expedition to Antarctica.

December 11, 2007

As part of a project of world scientific expedition to Antarctica, Chinese scientists left Shanghai on November 12, for the country’s 24th scientific expedition to Antarctica for half a year. China is officially in charge of this project’s polar altitude observations and Total Station GTS-330 series and GPS Receiver HiPer Plus produced by TOPCON have been selected to be used for its survey work. The reason for this adoption is because of its high endurance capacity that makes it possible to be operated in polar region and the past sales performance.
