Environmentally Conscious Products (ECPs)
The Topcon Group has been researching and developing products with a view towards environmental protection, mainly focusing on material and energy saving. However, in order to develop products with less environmental impacts, it is necessary to consider the impacts in whole product life cycles.Therefore, the Topcon Group specifies objectives and standards to reduce the impacts in each cycle in the "Topcon Products' Voluntary Environmental Standard." shown below.
We certified the products which are in compliance with "Topcon Products' Voluntary Environmental Standard" as ECPs and provided them to the customers. The number of our ECPs product groups comes to 43 by FY2009.
To promote further development of ECPs, we have set the goal of 60% of ECPs sales number among the total sales number by FY2010.
